It’s May and that means we’re celebrating all things Mom, all month long, including a very special edition of our Employee Spotlight. We’re happy to introduce you to not one, but two of our favorite team members — Cydney Turner and Cheyenne Britt. You might say this month’s spotlight is a “double mammy.”
Cydney (aka “Cyd”) and Cheyenne have quite a bit in common:
- They’re both members of our Inside Sales team here in Lubbock.
- Their names both start with our favorite letter, “C.”
- They’ve both been with our team for just about 9 months. (Interesting!)
- And the best part — they’re both new moms!
We recently caught up with Cyd & Cheyenne to learn more about the work they do, their growing families, and their favorite part of being a mom.
WHEN YOU’RE NOT BUSY HELPING PEOPLE IMPROVE THEIR HOMES, WHAT CAN WE FIND YOU DOING?
Cydney Turner: Hanging out with my baby girl, Logan, and my fiancé, Rigo. Rigo and I also enjoy playing golf anytime we get the chance.
Cheyenne Britt: Spending time with my family!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOUR JOB WITH CARPET TECH?
Cydney Turner: I love hearing from happy customers! The best is a phone call to tell me how well our technicians are doing and how happy they are about their experience with Carpet Tech.
Cheyenne Britt: My favorite thing about working for Carpet Tech is being able to serve others. Even being a new, sleep deprived, mom, I still love getting up and going to work. It feels good knowing that I’m serving my Lubbock community and people across the state by providing them with the CT experience!
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE WORK STORY?
Cydney Turner: When I was big and pregnant, Chet put a wheelchair at my desk with a name tag that said “Big Mama.” The Carpet Tech team is full of jokesters.
HOW IS CARPET TECH DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CARPET CLEANING COMPANIES?
Cydney Turner: We care about our customers and believe in doing whatever it takes to make them happy.
Cheyenne Britt: Carpet Tech is all about family. No matter the situation, I know I can always count on my CT fam for anything. And we feel that way about our community, too! You don’t get that everywhere. It’s definitely a special place to be!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A MOM?
Cydney Turner: The best thing about being a mom is the bond you share with your baby. Also, the cuddles are so sweet!
Cheyenne Britt: My favorite thing about being a mom is how it helps me to be a better person on a daily basis. It’s making the choice every day to put someone else’s well-being ahead of your own. It’s realizing that you have been sleep deprived for weeks on end without missing a beat. Being a mom is by no means an easy job, but it is definitely the best job anyone could ever ask for!
