CT Specialty Flooring

The Art Is in the Craftsmanship.

Specialty flooring is a different category of work. Polished concrete, natural stone, hardwood refinishing, epoxy coatings, travertine restoration, stamped concrete — these aren't cleaning services. They're trades. CT Specialty Flooring brings skilled craftsmen to every surface that demands more than a mop and a machine.

What Sets Specialty Flooring Apart

This is craft work. Preparation is everything.

Most cleaning services follow a process. Specialty flooring follows a philosophy — the belief that 99% of any result comes from preparation. How a concrete surface is assessed before grinding. How hardwood is sanded through multiple grits to achieve a flat, smooth surface before a single drop of finish is applied. How natural stone is identified correctly before any chemical or tool touches it.

Our craftsmen know the difference between a polished concrete floor that looks impressive the day it’s installed and one that holds its surface for a decade. Between a wood floor refinished by someone who understands the wear layer and one that’s been sanded down to the point of no return. Between travertine that’s been cleaned with the wrong product and one that’s been maintained properly for years.

That knowledge is the service.

Why CT Specialty Flooring

The art is in the craftsmanship.

Every surface in our service list requires more than equipment — it requires knowledge. We identify the material, assess the condition, and apply the right method. No guessing. No one-size approach.

Preparation as the standard.

Whether we’re polishing concrete, refinishing hardwood, or restoring travertine, we invest the preparation time that most companies skip. The difference shows in how long the result lasts.

100% dust-contained wood floor refinishing.

All sanding equipment connects to a truck-mounted vacuum system that evacuates dust before it becomes airborne. No mess in your home. No dust in your ducts. You stay in your home throughout.

Same-day service for urgent situations.

We understand that some pest problems can’t wait until next Tuesday’s scheduled appointment.

Floors over 200 years old restored.

If the material is structurally sound, it can almost always be brought back. We assess honestly and restore what others replace.

Residential and commercial.

From a homeowner’s travertine bathroom floor to a commercial polished concrete retail space — one team for all of it.

Great service and really kind people!
Awesome guys and great on explaining the process
I can always count on Carpet Tech to do a great job. I’ve used them for 26 years and have always been pleased with the results. The technicians are always polite, willing to answer questions, and very efficient. Michael and Caleb took care of my carpets/rugs today and they were great! Thanks, Carpet Tech, for the job you do.

Quick answers to
common questions.

What's the difference between CT Specialty Flooring and Carpet Tech's regular floor care services?
Carpet Tech handles cleaning services — carpet, tile cleaning, upholstery, rugs. CT Specialty Flooring handles surfaces that require craft trades — hardwood installation and refinishing, concrete polishing and staining, natural stone restoration, epoxy coatings, and other specialty work. Many jobs involve both: we’ll clean the tile and restore the hardwood in the same project, coordinated through one company.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Specialty flooring projects require an onsite assessment before we can quote accurately — the condition of the surface, the scope of preparation required, and the material all affect the price. We assess and quote before any work begins.
Can you match existing hardwood or stone for repairs?
We source matching species and grain for hardwood board replacements where possible. For historic or unusual species, we’ll tell you how close a match we can achieve. For natural stone, we identify the specific stone type and source matching material where available.
Do you work on commercial specialty flooring?
es — polished concrete, VCT, epoxy coatings, rubber safety surfaces, and commercial wood floor refinishing for retail, office, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, and institutional facilities. We schedule commercial work around operational hours to minimize disruption.
How long does hardwood floor refinishing take?
Most residential refinishing projects take two to four days — one to two days of sanding and preparation, followed by stain (if applicable) and multiple finish coats with appropriate dry time between each.
Do I need to leave my home during wood floor refinishing?
No. Our 100% dust-contained system and low-VOC Greenguard-certified finishes mean no toxic fumes and no dust cloud. You can remain in your home throughout.
