AN UN-BEE-LIEVABLE STORY
Ethan shared with us the story of how one unlucky customer found out the hard way that he had a beehive near a shed in his backyard. While mowing his yard, the customer was attacked by bees and received over 40 stings! Ethan and the Bug Tech team were able to completely remove the hive from his property and treat the area to prevent bees from rebuilding a colony.
Bees and wasps don’t carry disease and aren’t parasites, but their sting can lead to life-threatening allergic reactions and even death. Here in the Lubbock area, we have a number of diverse bee species including: bumble bees, honey bees, carpenter bees, and mason bees. Honey bees are becoming protected by Texas and federal law because they are pollinators. Bug Tech can still treat honey bees, but we work with local beekeepers for safe relocation.
Our team wears approved beekeeper suits when handling colonies for removal.
After removal of a hive/nest, Bug Tech will apply insecticide at the base and around the nest. This prevents any wasps or bees from attempting to rebuild a colony.
With General Pest Control from Bug Tech, customers receive a free pest inspection. This allows our team to survey your home or office and identify any issues, such as bee or wasp colonies. Once your property is inspected, we can establish regular service to treat the area and prevent an unwanted infestation. Set up your free consultation today.
